We had our first mist of the morning today!
…it’s still very warm, but the morning mists are a telltale sign of change…lovely time of year:)
How beautiful and peaceful . . . more than anything I love such misty weather to act as balm for my soul . . .
..the very words, Eha….the very words:)
Blink twice for Christmas 😉
…it’s already entered the conversation…:)
It’s the disproportionate time between summer and Christmas and then Christmas and next summer. Not to mention the commercialisation in the shops. I will be buying some blinkers 😉
This is a lovely shot. The mist colour is superb, but what makes it for me is the colours of the cow and her calf. The gorgeous Jersey colour of the cow is warm enough to stand out from the mist, and the white calf suggests fragility and dependence. Superb.
It almost makes amends for the reminder that summer is almost over.
It’s the sort of magic that’s out there all the time …wonderful when you come across it. The colours of that morning’s light were wonderfully gentle…it’s like coming back from fishing with a big one in your bag:)
Many thanks, indeed…:)
Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness,
…and all that….thanks, Jim:)
Love it. Great Composition.
Cheers, many thanks for that…:)
Roger, you make me smile. Beautiful photo.
Thanks, Conor…it’s a good time here for pictures..
Such a change…but it’s still unbelievably warm even in the early misty morning…
Wonderfully atmospheric photo. Gracious, it’s even mistier than the UK!
Gorgeous photo! A sense of peace. I am yearning for a day like this. So much damn sunshine here in California sometimes.
I’ve only been to California once and, you’re right…so much damn sunshine. As winter takes its grip in a couple of months I’ll be thinking of that:)
Autumn is the best season. Beautiful photo Roger.
There’s a lot more to look forward to….I just keep winter out of mind
What a shot! just stunning. Roger – I am coming to France in February and will be staying somewhere around Avignon for a few days (I am renting a cottage) – I am looking forward to taking my camera for lots of walks. c
That’s a fantastic area, Cecilia…just magical. You’ll have such a good time and get so many pictures. February is not a great time in Europe for weather but Provence is pretty wonderful always. You’ll be in a land of great wines and great food. I remember staying at La Prieuré ( still a very posh hotel in Avignon) in 1952 on my first trip to the South of France as an 8 year old child…it’s when I fell in love with France.
Yes, I look forward to it – I am hard put not to book my tickets already!!
…you’ll have a wonderful time…:)
Excellent as always, Roger.
Cheers….good to hear from you…:)
