After being in Martin place at the time of the Sydney siege, I feel strongly Je Suis Charlie. Merci.
Thank you, Roger. I also liked the comment i read elsewhere, “We all have the right to say whatever we like. There is no ‘but’ in that sentence.”
We are faced with yet another irrational force in the mould of Savanarola, Stalin, Mao et al…..plus ca change..
Je suis Charlie Je suis Liberté
This world saddens me no end at times.
The size of the ‘silent majority’ is incredibly large . . . should we continue to be silent . . . should we raise our voices more and show our strength . . . can we make a difference . . . ?
I believe so….
This Canadian stands with you!
And “je suis Charlie”. I think it is awful and shocking that Obama was not represented on Sunday. But this American stands with you.
That did surprise me and thanks for your gesture:)
The amount of hatred and prejudice in this world both alarms and depresses me. However the Rally in Paris yesterday gave me hope that maybe this time is different and maybe this time we won’t forget about it in a couple of days and maybe this time we really will all stand together united, fearless, committed and determined. Je sues Charlie aussi.
I really think we have to. To live in fear of offending a particular religious belief puts us squarely back in the Dark Ages.
I admit to being scared. On a BBC radio 4 phone in on Saturday someone decided that the right course of action was to put all Muslims in the UK into camps. Please God no.
Je suis Charlie.
I have been pondering a blog post of my own – mais quoi dire? We can only pray.
Very little to say, I’m afraid…I think the new cover of Charlie Hebdo says it all
