Today should be all right. After all, it’s only the first day of the holiday which means that holiday world is fresh and new and free from stings and arguments. This is the first morning of waking to a sparkling blue pool and breakfasting on warm croissants in the warm sun with apricot jam under blue skies. On this first morning there are no thoughts of time or packing or only three more days to go before this ends or feeling that three days more may be too much and can we get the hell out of here now. This is still a virgin holiday which means that it hasn’t been fucked yet…..best to keep to keep everything crossed.
Waking to the dream….

ROFL – I wish you luck 🙂
It’s not me on holiday. MD, it’s a rhetorical look at what’s happening in a million gites all over Europe…the start of les vacances. I live my life on holiday so it doesn’t count:)
Ha ha – there’s a lot of pressure 🙂
🙂
Don’t cross too many things – it’s considered bad luck.
Instead of crossing things, Vicki, I just get cross:)
as Nike says: Just do it!
Too right…and I wish them all the very best of luck:)
Wait a minute, I thought most days for you were holidays now that you are in France!
It’s not about me Lulu. It’s an allusion to everyman at the beginning of the European holiday season. We set so much store about our holidays fulfilling our dreams that there’s always disillusionment…and you’re right, I do live on holiday:)
LOL, I hope you enjoy your holiday! What a lovely start. 🙂
🙂
Ah holidays….I think I remember what they are like…just!
🙂
What a lovely shot. I want to be there.
🙂
Relax and enjoy! I’ve never met a vacation I didn’t like!
🙂
Enjoy the moment of being in paradise of holidays, this shot looks like being in a paradise.

Confucius is famous for saying that ‘guests are like fish, they stink after three days’. Same same for holidaying somewhere untried with or without certain family/friends. Sometimes a recovery holiday, at home with your own bed, food and company is necessary to recover.
Good thoughts, all of which I completely agree with:)
Bahaha. Effing hilarious!!
🙂
So true, Roger. There’s nothing quite like the first morning of a holiday. Enjoy!
🙂
What a great shot! That pool makes me think of Burt Lancaster in The Swimmer. Happy holiday!
Such a cool movie…:)
