Important – my Gmail has been hacked

Hi there everyone

My Gmail has been hacked and I cannot access any emails, whereas whoever has hacked into it is sending emails in my name. Apparently I’m marooned in Madrid, and asking my friends to send me money. This is not true, and I’m in France trying to get reconnected to my email, which may take 24- 48 hours.

Sorry for any inconvenience

Roger

Yes, I’ve received two emails trolling me of your sad plight and was going to contact you via your regular email address. Whoever has hacked into your account has hijacked all your contacts – mine must be at least three or four years old! Glad to hear that you are not destitute in madrid anyway! Best wishes ….

  3. Hi Roger, the false email asking for money was on my spam tray. I’m sorry this has happen to you and hope it gets sorted out soon. Good luck!

  4. About a month ago I received a similar e-mail from a business acquaintance in Iceland. It specified that the best way to get him the money was through Western Union Bank which seems to be the bank of choice with these spams…

Hope you get your account back soon.

  5. Aha – glad you weren´t really lost and destitute!

It is kind of scary, and the email they are sending from is not the same as yours which was another flag.. I deleted it and hope that their little spider did not get loose! c
