A peachy pin-up followed by the ugly truth..

The reason for this rather girly pin up of peach syrup in a “cute” jam jar is because I suffered a bout of making ugly food this weekend. It all tasted great but unfortunately had to be eaten whilst wearing a blindfold, which is messy work. Over time I have worked out the constant that invariably x=y, if “x” is more than two bottles of wine in a short space of time then “y” is ugly food. As Bob Dylan relentlessly droned “When will they ever learn..” ( I think it was Bob, not that I like Bob but it’s the kind of trite platitude that would have come from him or from well meaning, but dull parents), and we all know where the answer is blowing, which I blame on too much wine and ugly food getting together in a bath of acid. Luckily I have a picture of one I made earlier ( in truth it was made, not by me, but by the magnificent Maxine ) – nearly 20 years earlier. This picture was scanned from a book that I photographed in 1993.
