“Save it for a….” a/ bandage to staunch a spurting arterial bleed. b/ hat to put on your head as protection against molten lava belching from Krakatoa. c/ a rainy day. It’s not easy, I know, but then again £56, 000 was at stake. And so, after a bit of head scratching, about a million phones will ring to claim the money. We all know how this works but why is it so successful? The public’s yearning for “money for nothing”, otherwise known as mindless greed, is the answer. I offer this without the a, b or c option to save you money on your phone calls. My savage breast needed calming, and music wasn’t going to do it. It surprised me that my breast was so savage, and I had to check with Google that it wasn’t a savage beast that needed calming, but it was indeed my breast. Making food, taking pictures and writing can calm my breast so I did all three. Apples, apricot jam and puff pastry were a, b, and c.

Absolute heaven
Thanks for that:)
Still lovely enough to photograph – and eat, one hopes – outdoors?
That’s a bonus…
As good to eat as to look at:)
I’ll take the tart and leave volcanoes to Arne Saknussemm
I don’t know who he is, but if he deserves Krakatoa, give it to him:)
I think you do – he’s in Journey to the Centre of the Earth
Maybe I should have said Rick Wakeman instead…
Sorry, Mad Dog, I only remember Rick Wakeman as the albino sword and dragon musician. I shot a lot of album covers for A&M but never the fair Rick. I never saw, or I think heard of, the Journey movie. Did I miss a good thing?
Brilliant and beautiful Roger…I´ll take the tart too!
I’m glad you liked it. Thanks for the nice comments.
Lovely tart! I truly believe that cooking, photography and writing is not only calming but can bring much happiness. Only if you don’t burn the dish…
As Marco Pierre said “God would not have given you fingers if he had not meant them to be burnt!”
Killing me. You are killing me, Roger. I could eat my screen.
Stop that now, Andra. It’ll only end in tears:)
Maddening, these phone-in ruses.
Nice pie, though
It’s extraordinary how it continues to be so successful. I think our evolution is slowing down>)
One word, Roger. Idiocracy.
As a teacher, it must cheer you up no end:(
What a delicious tart!
That’s really kind – thanks:)
Good lord. This makes me happy I’ve gotten rid of my land line and converted solely to a cellular. Wonderful color of your tart!
Smart move:)
I would devour that in one sitting
That’s what happened:)
Though your photography is impeccable, just as we’ve come to expect, that is one helluva tart for subject matter.
That’s very kind John. I’m just off to the kitchen to make one with a pile of small white peaches that I have been just been given.
Hi there! I wanted to let you know I nominated you for the Wonderful Team Membership Award.
Here is the link to let you know what to do: http://wp.me/p2GO4t-4K
I’ll get on the case:)
I have been meaning to tell you for some time that i love your titles.. naughty naughty roger. Maybe your breast is a beast! And that shot, displaying that particular shot of yumminess (see even i can use big words!) is also displaying some lovely light, are you getting a wee bit of sun? hope so.. c
We still have sun, which is wonderful. The evenings are chilly and I’m about to light the fire. I was very impressed with your long word! I remember a Welsh rughy player saying that he hated the way that English players always used long words like “corrugated iron” and “marmalade”:)
That is too funny..(laughed!) .. are you sure he was welsh, he sounds like a kiwi! c
They both love rugby and sheep – they’re interchangeable:)
Welsh can sing though, we have to have had at least a few beers and a guitar.. c
They have beer and catarrh:)
A b c sounds brilliant to me! Stunning photo!
Thanks for that, Giselle:)
Delicious! Have a nice day Roger
And the same to you, Giovanna. Thanks for stopping by:)
Apropos of your earlier post, let me just join the fuckers who say: “Yum!”
I’m afraid I’m going to have to ask you to approach the bench:)
