Sometimes only a choc ice will do. Such was the case yesterday evening. It was still hot after a long day of unbroken sunshine and I knew that there were two choc ices in the freezer. A box of them had been bought under the pretext that the grand children would like them. The fact that only two remained was a clear illustration of my wife’s lack of understanding of the word “pretext”. Now there are none.

Appetizing and ingenious! Good Humor could use you to sell ice cream!
Waste of a choc ice though:)
(sounds of loud hungry laughter!)… c
It’s good to see you’ve adjusted the balance in the freezer – they’d be taking up far to much space in winter
Thanks for reminding me:)
Brilliant! I’m surprised they lasted long enough to be photographed
Iron will power – not:)
In order to capture four such great shots I suppose you were obliged to eat them both. That’s the sort of hardship professional photographers must be willing to endure. It’s not all fun and games, people!
Would have interesting on a pinhole camera:)
I’m glad someone recognises the self sacrifice:)
This is such a photographer thing to do, snap pictures while enjoying an ice cream. Looks good though.
Photography certainly gets in the way of eating sometimes:)
Looks delish! Time to replenish inventory…
The choc ice brings back memories of childhood cinema visits:)
Thanks, Roger, for the chuckle and reminder. Mom was forever buying ice cream “for the grandkids”. Funny how it disappeared just as quickly when the grandkids lived 600 miles away as when they lived in the next town.
What a mystery:)
I’m a Solero girl myself, but that choc ice looks well sacrificed
I don’t know Soleros, but my guess is that they’re good:)
I’m more impressed that you had the restraint to photograph between bites.
It wasn’t easy:)
That marvellous laughter is at least two frames short
!
You’re right:)
Great photos! And perfect choice for any day
Thanks, Tandy, and thanks for the mentions on your blog:)
I love the photos!
Thanks for that, Jen. I just shot them on the spur of the moment one evening:)
A marvelous moment to laugh out really loudly.Thank you!
That’s good to hear:)
Thanks
This made me chuckle, because this is how most frozen treats enter and leave my house as well. The photo progression made me chuckle.
Thanks for having a look:)
Looks like a Dove bar, my favorite.
I’m not sure of its pedigree, but it was good:)
All that time in a freezer for this brief, glorious capitulation. It sounds like the perfect plot for a Hollywood film.
I like a happy ending:)
Roger, I absolutely adore those. Have since I was a little girl.
I only get to taste them under the subterfuge of buying them for the grandchildren, although that excuse is wearing a bit thin:)
Tell Jenny that choc ice is a always a good “pretext” no matter what!
I think that she knows that, Giselle. The new box is on my shopping list for today:)
